In winter of 2025, we were given permission from the BLM to groom singletrack trails at Croy Canyon. Brian Vaughn and other volunteers assisted with creating the singletrack trails and riding them in. This was a big success and we saw many fat bikers out enjoying these trails last winter.
Groomed singletrack in moderate hilly terrain can provide a more fun and challenging experience, than riding the wide groomed nordic trails. While both experiences are good – singletrack is certainly more challenging and offers an experience more akin to mountain biking.
We met with the BLM in mid-September of this fall and we received permission to once again create singletrack trails at Croy. We are actively fundraising to purchase a Snow Dog groomer, which will allow us to easily create, groom and maintain the singletrack narrow trails.
We expect the Croy singletrack trails to be ready for riding between late December and early March. Snowfall dictates when we can begin grooming, and warming spring temperatures will naturally define the end of our season, as well.
